“During free play activities, we saw children
playing with cars, painting, craft activities, home corner, imaginative
play, play dough and playing with lentils and rice in the sand tray. There
was a lot of laughter and smiles seen around the room. Throughout the
session, the children were busy playing, and the staff took every
opportunity to promote their language and development skills by asking
open-ended questions, repeating and singing. “
